Collaborative Research and Learning from Theology to Practice

  • Price: FREE

Overview

Collaboration is emerging as an organizing practice in ministry and theological education. While theological education is collaborative by design, the complexities of communities of faith require integrating theories, methods, and disciplines to give an account of the realities and possibilities of life together.

Join Dustin D. Benac and Juli Kalbaugh from Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary’s Program for the Future Church for a two-part webinar about collaborative research and learning. This series will introduce a novel methodological structure that guides the Program for the Future Church’s work, “Bending the Light,” and provide avenues for conversation among participants about the theologies and practices that can guide collaborative approaches to research and education. In this first installment, participants will leave with a theological framework to guide collaborative partnerships, practices, and programming.

Supported by a Pathways for Tomorrow Phase 2 grant (Lilly Endowment Inc.) and presented to all ATS member schools by the ATS Pathways Coordination Program, this webinar will be recorded for distribution among registrants. The second installment in the series will take place in fall 2024.
